Looking for something to do for New Year’s Eve in Cincinnati? We’ve compiled two lists of New Year’s Eve events – one for Family Friendly New Year’s Eve ideas and one list just for the adult party goers.

New Years Eve in Cincinnati 2018

Adult and Kid Friendly New Year’s Eve Events:

Ring in the Zoo Year with a bunch of “party animals!” at the Cincinnati Zoo. Kids of all ages are invited to ring in the Happy Zoo Year as the Cincinnati Zoo holds its very own New Year’s Eve bash.
Enjoy a kid-friendly, early countdown before the ball drops. New Year’s Eve activities will include shows of Madcap Puppet Theater at 6:30, 7:30, & 8:30pm, Party Favors and Costume Characters at 8pm, and the Zoo will cap off all celebrations with an EARLY (8:55pm) countdown with fireworks presented by Rozzi Fireworks.

End your 2017 in a family friendly setting with Cyclones Hockey and their special NYE Fireworks. The Cincinnati Cyclones NYE Fireworks Night has a special start time of 6pm to make sure your little ones can watch the game, the fireworks display, and still make it home for bedtime.

Northgate Mall hosts “NOON Year’s Eve” with free fun, games and a kid’s countdown at noon! Dec. 31, 10am – 1pm.

BB Riverboats is offering a  New Year’s Eve Kids Cruise. Bring the whole family as they countdown to 2017 at 12:00 noon. Your cruise will be complete with all the party favors as well as a DJ for entertainment. There will be some great activities throughout the day for the kids as well as a tasty lunch buffet. Some of your favorite characters from their Pirate, Princess, and Super Hero cruises will be onboard celebrating with you! Ring in the new year in style without having to stay up to the wee hours of the night. Boarding begins at 10:30 am.

Oakley Family New Year’s Eve: Come kick off your NYE festivities with all of your Oakley neighbors and friends 7-9pm on Oakley Square! Kids NYE countdown with Rozzi Fireworks on the esplanade will be at 8pm. – hot chocolate/coffee – balloon animals – goodie bags – cartoons – photo booth – story time – and more!

New Year’s Eve Events for the 21 and Up Crowd Only:

Head to Fountain Square for New Year’s Eve Blast. Ring in the new year right, with your friends, family and thousands of fellow Cincinnatians. Dance the night away, grab some grub, and participate in goofy games on the Fountain Square stage every half hour. Or, hit the ice during open skate (normal admission and rental fees apply). Instead of watching the ball drop on TV at home, burst into the new year with some primo pyrotechnics from Rozzi’s Famous Fireworks as the clock strikes midnight! 8pm – 1am.

Rhinegeist NYE 2018. This New Year’s Eve, the taproom will transform into a wonderland of gusto and gaiety, a cozy space overflowing with food, drink and dance.
Sartre OTR will be slinging short order eats, DJ Matt Joy will pilot the taproom, and Jess Lamb and The Factory will be on hand in our event space from 8pm-12am. We’ll also have a photo booth, new lounge seating and, at midnight, a rambunctious countdown + balloon drop.

New Years Eve at Mad Tree. 8pm – 1am. Drinks, food, live music, a DJ, and more!

New Years Eve Event- Night At The Museum 3 at the Contemporary Arts Center. 10pm – 2am.

Midnight in Munich at Mecklenburg Gardens.The evening begins at 4:00 PM with authentic German beer specials and live music from Everything’s Jake in the Bier Hall and live music in our main bar. At Midnight in Munich (6:00 PM Zinzinnati time), they’ll celebrate the New Year alongside our fellow Germans with a champagne toast, balloon drop and a live stream of the Brandenburg Gate fireworks in Berlin! Dinner will be served following the celebration.

NYE at Netherland Plaza – Pavillion Caprice Party. Celebrate Great Gatsby style as The Hilton reinvents their hotel’s 1931 grand opening party. Doors open at 7 p.m. Table seating with unlimited sparkling wine centerpiece. Cash Bar. 8p-10p buffet feast. Music by the Queen City Serenaders followed by DJ. 10p Dessert presentation. Midnight Champagne toast and balloon drop. Jackets for men please. Best Dressed Couple wins dinner for two at Orchids!

The 9th Annual New Year’s Eve Speakeasy Party at Know Theatre. 8pm – 1am. Party like it’s 1923 at Know’s legendary annual New Years’ Eve bash! Flappers, fedoras, martinis, and jazz – plus, back-room casino games and more – and all to benefit Your Theatrical Playground!

Igby’s hosts “An Elegant Affair”. Doors open at 9pm (event goes til 2:30am). 21 and up, cocktail attire.

Mt. Adams Pavilion hosts “New Year’s Eve Ball 2017”. Doors open at 9pm. 21 and up, cocktail attire preferred.

Enjoy a New Year’s Eve Cruise with BB Riverboats, 9pm t0 1am. Cincinnati’s sparkling skyline provides a spectacular backdrop as they cruise into the new year. This magical night includes a special three-entree buffet, entertainment, a split of champagne at midnight, late night snack buffet, and party favors. Boarding begins at 8pm.

NYE at QCE (Queen City Exchange). 9pm – 2am

Black Light Ball – NYE at Urban Artifact. 8pm – 2am. Join in for a night of Wild Culture as Urban Artifact throws their first ever Black Light Ball in the upstairs Sanctuary with dance beats, wild colors, and specialty drinks. Performances from DJ Bit Flip of FRESHLIST and more. They will be transforming the upstairs into a black light masquerade wonderland, so bring your best glow friendly wardrobe and ready your eyes to ring in the new year in style.

The Dapper New Year’s Dinner and Dance at Hotel Covington, 7pm – 1am. It’s an all-inclusive evening with a 7-course tasting menu plus an open bar from 7 p.m. to 1 a.m. They will have live music all night in the Eva G. Farris Ballroom, so you can dance till the ball drops at midnight.

Ring in 2018 at Top Golf in West Chester. Enjoy live entertainment, a chef-inspired menu and an unforgettable midnight celebration. All New Year’s Eve packages include unlimited game play from 9 p.m. to close and party favors for up to 6 Guests. Upgrade to the VIP Package for exclusive access to their hand-carved prime rib dinner buffet.

  1. Not sure if my phone needs an update or what? But i haven’t seen a new weekend edition in a month. January and February r too depressing without fun things to do. And you manage to find fun, affordable and unique things to do on a regular basis. Keep up the good work. And thank you for making this past fall not so sad.
