Looking for something to do for New Year’s Eve in Cincinnati? We’ve compiled two lists of New Year’s Eve events – one for Family Friendly New Year’s Eve ideas and one list just for the adult party goers.

Say goodbye to 2023 and have some fun on New Year’s Eve! Here are some spots to herald in 2024…

Family Friendly New Year’s Eve Events:

It’s a New Year’s Eve Blast at Fountain Square. Party on the plaza or celebrate on the ice – either way, Fountain Square is the place to be this New Year’s Eve. They’ll have a DJ, a Kids Countdown at 8pm (after the Bengals game), and a Midnight Countdown at 12am.The party goes from 6pm to 12:30am.

Happy ZOO Year “Party Animals” of all ages are invited to celebrate Happy ZOO Year at The Cincinnati Zoo. This New Years bash will take place at the Zoo on Sunday, December 31 with a kid-friendly, early countdown at 8pm featuring the Zoo’s 40 foot tall digital tree.

Kings Island Winterfest invites you to their New Years Eve celebration. They’ll have one countdown in Tannenbaumhaus beginning at 9:30 PM that’s perfect for families and a midnight countdown complete with fireworks. Park guests will also experience the shimmering lights, activities and the extravagant décor of WinterFest along with the final park rides of the year. They open at 4pm and rides (those open for Winterfest) operate from 5-10pm.

BB Riverboats is offering a New Year’s Eve Kids Cruise. Come aboard and ring in 2024….just not so late at night! Bring the whole family for a countdown to 2024 at 12:00 noon. Your cruise will be complete with all the party favors as well as a DJ for entertainment. There will be some great activities throughout the day for the kids as well as a tasty lunch buffet. Some of your favorite characters from our Pirate, Princess, and Super Hero cruises will be onboard celebrating with you! Ring in the new year in style without having to stay up to the wee hours of the night. All seating is reserved.  

Ring in the New Year with Bircus Brewing and Circus Moho as they offer a Family Friendly New Year’s Eve Party, 5-7pm. The event will feature a Circus Mojo performance and instructional workshop, woodfired pizza, and an 8:00 “ball drop” with a ginger ale toast at “midnight”. Party with your kids and be home by bedtime, what more could you want out of a New Year’s Eve wing ding? Tickets required.

Cincinnati Cyclones have a 6pm hockey game followed by NYE fireworks… INSIDE!

Goldfish Swim School (Kenwood) is hosting a family-friendly New Years Eve party, 2:30-4:30pm. Event highlights include family swim, crafts, light refreshments and snacks, a balloon drop and a special appearance by their mascot Bubbles! This is a free community event. Families should bring their own towels.

Velocity Newport is hosting its first annual Kids New Years Eve Celebration, 12:30-2:30pm. Celebrate the new year early on Dec. 31 with a DJ, pizza buffet, arcade games, and more. They’ll have party favors and a big countdown too.

New Year’s Eve Events for the 21 and Up Crowd Only:

It’s Midnight in Munich: New Year’s Eve at Wiedemann’s. Taproom opens at 3pm and festivities kick off with beer specials and a variety of tasty appetizers to enjoy during the first half of the Bengals-Chiefs game. At 6pm Cincinnati time – Midnight in Munich! – we’ll ring in 2024 with a champagne toast and live streamed fireworks from European capitals. Tickets required.

Queen City Exchange is hosting a NYE bash with a DJ, appetizers, Champagne, and an open bar. Doors open at 9pm. Tickets required.

Enjoy a New Year’s Eve Cruise with BB Riverboats, 9pm to 1am. Cincinnati’s sparkling skyline provides a spectacular backdrop as they cruise into the new year. This magical night includes a special three-entree buffet, entertainment, a split of champagne at midnight, late night snack buffet, and party favors. Boarding begins at 8pm. All seating is reserved. 

Ring in 2024 at Vinkolet Winery. They’re offering two different packages. Grilled to Perfection is located in the main dining room and includes your dinner (reservations required, offered for 4:30-7:30). Dinner and Dancing (tickets required) is located in the banquet room, 7pm-1am.

Have some fun at the Midnight on Madison NYE Party. Hotel Covington is the spot to ring in the New Year in style. Your ticket includes admission to the event, two drink tickets, and an entry into their raffle. DJ KOMBAT will keep you dancing into 2024.

Don’t miss out Bubbles and Bow Ties: Igbys’ New Year’s Eve 2024 on Sunday, December 31st. The fun starts at 9pm. VIP bottle service tables available (see link above). Tickets include a Champagne toast and party favors. Cocktail attire encouraged.

Sons of the American Legion New Years Eve Bash is back again for New Years Eve. Dance, party, and mingle at the American Legion Post 318.

(20)24 Bit NYE is happening at Rhinegeist starting at 9pm. The Taproom will be turned into a neon-drenched, pixelated playscape full of beer, games, and dancing! Get a bit nostalgic in the “living room,” satisfy your pinball fix in the retro arcade, or dance the night away on a gamified digital dancefloor. Unlock a variety of beer, wine and cocktails to keep your thirst bar fully replenished. Balloon drop and champagne toast bonus level at midnight. Life is a game and you’re the main character! Must be 21+ to attend.

Vista Rooftop (at the Lytle Park Hotel) New Years Eve Party will kick off at 10pm. Their event includes an open bar, light hors d’oeuvres, a DJ, party favors, and more.

  1. Not sure if my phone needs an update or what? But i haven’t seen a new weekend edition in a month. January and February r too depressing without fun things to do. And you manage to find fun, affordable and unique things to do on a regular basis. Keep up the good work. And thank you for making this past fall not so sad.
