Holiday magic is happening at Cincinnati Christkindlmarkt, adjacent to Moerlein Lager House. This enchanting Christmas festival features an ice slide, igloos, fire pits, holiday lights, a variety of great eats, choral entertainment, themed character visits, unique vendors, and more. Open Wednesdays to Sundays through Dec. 31 (closed Christmas Day). Watch for special event listings below!

Monday, December 18:

It’s Mascot Monday at the Summit Park Ice Rink. Monday’s mascot will be Gary, the FC Cincinnati mascot. You can visit with the local mascots at the ice rink from 5:30pm-7pm.

Put your smiling face on and head to Little Miami Brewing Co. for “ELF” trivia starting at 7pm. Free to play; teams of 6 or less.

Head to the Downtown Main Library for Chess Instruction, 2-4pm. Learn from a CCPF chess teacher on the 2nd floor. They will be in study room 2 when available, otherwise they’ll be on the connector bridge.

There’s an Adult Board Game and Tabletop Gaming Club that meets at the Hyde Park Library, 7-10pm.


Tuesday, December 19:

Kids skate free on the Deck the Y’alls ice rink on Tuesday nights.

“Christmas Vacation” trivia will be at RJ Cinema in Eastgate starting at 7pm.

Music Live at Lunch is a free, weekly concert series at Christ Church Cathedral (downtown). The event features a variety of music. Bring your own lunch or buy one at the cathedral. This week features Benjamin Britten’s A Ceremony of Carols. 12:10-1pm.

Head to Grainworks Brewing Company for “Christmas Vacation” trivia starting at 7pm.


Wednesday, December 20:

Kids Eat Free at Cincinnati Christkindlmarkt with an Ice Slide ticket purchase! Purchase an unlimited Ice Slide ticket for Wednesday evenings and it comes with a special voucher redeemable at the “Pizza and More” stand (Wed. only / for kids 12 and under). And it’s Happy Hour on the Market too, 5-9pm.

Head to Grainworks Brewing Company for another “Christmas Vacation” trivia starting at 7pm.

Put your smiling face on and head to Little Miami Brewing Co. for another night of “ELF” trivia starting at 7pm. Free to play; teams of 6 or less.

Santa Paws will be at West Side Brewing from 6pm to 9pm. Grab your four-legged furry friends for pictures with the both Santa and the Mrs.

Heritage Village Museum has Train Days, 10am-2pm. Enjoy cookies and hot chocolate while watching model trains chug through village displays spread between Chester Park Train Station, Myers Schoolhouse, and Hayner House. At least 10 trains will be operating throughout the Village including a point-to-point auto reversing trolley and the train display operated by the Greater Cincinnati Garden Railway Society, who are back for the second year. A wide variety of train sizes, such as O, N, HO, G, and S, will be on display. Admission is $4 (children ages 4 and under are free).

Northwood Cider is hosting a Holiday Cookie Swap Party, 6-9pm. Bring your favorite holiday cookies and leave with an assortment! Bring a dozen (or more) of your favorite holiday sweets, and be sure to bring a to-go container with you. See details at link above.

Quaker Steak and Lube (Colerain location) will host Christmas Singo starting at 6:30pm.

There’s a Happy Hour Solstice Hike happening at Long Branch Farm and Trails, 5-6:30pm. Designed for ages 21+, say farewell to fall and hello to winter with an early evening hike at Long Branch Farm & Trails. Conclude the hike at a campfire with warm drinks (have you tried Kahlua in hot chocolate?) and a snack. Tickets required.


Thursday, December 21:

Embrace winter nights with 1/2 price Bourbon and Weekly Cigar Pairings at Cincinnati Christkindlmarkt, 5-9pm. This event features half-price bourbon selections and each week will feature a special cigar. Cigar aficionado, Jim Clark from Straus Tobacconist, will also be on hand with a curated selection of 10 other cigars for you to choose from. Availability is limited, so be sure to arrive early to secure your spot and savor the flavors of the season. For the wine lovers, enjoy half price wine night too (5-9pm); good for individual glasses and full bottles.
