Cool Places for Snow Tubing, Snow Boarding, and Skiing near Cincinnati

This is going to be the year for all the outdoor things… even for the winter time! So when the snow starts to hit the fan (literally), pull up this list of all the great snow tubing and skiing spots in and around the Cincinnati area.

All of the snow tubing, snow boarding, and ski resorts mentioned below are within 3 hours of Cincinnati. Entries are listed by distance from Cincinnati.

Perfect North Slopes

Distance from Cincinnati: about 30 miles / 0.75 hours

Perfect North Slopes offers 23 trails for skiing and snow boarding, 18 snow tubing lanes, 5 Lifts, 6 Carpet Lifts and 2 Tows. Their 1200′ long snow tubing hill includes “super lanes” which allow for your entire family to go down together. Let the Magic Carpet conveyer lift take you back to the top of the hill.

Mad River Mountain / Avalanche Tubing Park

Distance from Cincinnati: about 115 miles / 2 hours

Mad River Mountain claims to be Ohio’s largest ski resort. Part of Mad River Mountain, Avalanche Tubing Park features a long 1000’+ tubing hill with over 15 lanes of snowy fun and 2 lifts. They say they are the “largest tubing park in Ohio”.

Do I Purchase Tickets in Advance? No, you do not need a reservation in 2022.

Paoli Peaks / Artic Blast Tubing Park

Distance from Cincinnati: about 140 miles / 2.75 hours

Paoli Peak, located in southern Indiana, offers skiing, snow boarding, and snow tubing. Artic Blast Tubing Park features 10 lanes for snow tubing; each lane is 700′ long. Their 400′ surface-carpet will take you back up the hill.

Snow Trails

Distance from Cincinnati: about 170 miles / 2.5 hours

Snow Trails claims to be “Ohio’s premier resort for skiing, snowboarding, and snow tubing” with “the longest tubing lanes in Ohio”. They have a massive snowmaking system and are typically open from December through March.

Glow Tubing is offered every Thursday – Sunday and Peak Days. All tubing tickets purchased after 6:00PM are for Glow Tubing.

Do I Purchase Tickets in Advance? Tubing reservations are required. Advanced book is required (online) for daily lift tickets (unless you have a season pass). Walkups are not available.
