August in Cincinnati – it’s likely to be our hottest month of the year. But we won’t let that stop us from enjoying some events around town, right?
From Wing Week to Ault Park’s Summer Music Festival to the kickoff for Oktoberfest season, August is shaping up to be a great end to the summer of 2025.
Enjoy this month long list of Things to Do in Cincinnati for the month of August:
August 1-2: The St. Bernard German Luau is happening on Friday and Saturday on Washington Ave. between Vine and Tower Ave in the Village of St. Bernard. Enjoy live music, great food, game booths, and more. They’ll even have a parade on Saturday starting at 12:30 pm.
August 1-2: The On Point Music Festival is happening at Sawyer Point and Yeatman’s Cove. Enjoy performances from Motherfolk, Ashes and Arrows, Sylmar, The Tillers, and more. And if that’s not your jam, come out for the roller rink, beach volleyball, and pickleball tournament. All activities are open to all levels.
August 1-3: Glier’s Goettafest continues! Enjoy all things goetta plus live music and family fun. Friday hours: 5-11pm. Saturday hours: noon-11pm. Sunday hours: noon-9pm. Happening at Newport’s Festival Park at the Levee.
August 2: There’s a Back-to-School Block Party happening at Liberty Center. Enjoy your favorite superheroes and princesses, a Tugga Touchdown inflatable, a DJ, airbrushed backpacks, chalk art, a face painter, balloon artist, and more! Activities will be located in The Park, 2-4pm.
August 2: Westside Market (showcasing over 100 local vendors, food trucks and offers family fun activities) will be at Westwood Town Hall, 10am-3pm.
August 2: Kidchella Family Music Festival is happening at Cottell Park in Deerfield Twp, 1-4pm. This free event will be filled with music from local artists, local vendors, Deerfield Fire Rescue, Warren County Sheriff’s Office, yummy treats to purchase, and more!

August 5: It’s National Night Out 2024! National Night Out enhances the relationship between neighbors and law enforcement while bringing back a true sense of community. NNO provides a great opportunity to bring police and neighbors together under positive circumstances.
August 5 National Night Out events include:
- The Cincinnati Police Department is hosting multiple National Night Out events on Tuesday, August 5. They’ll have events at Districts 1-5 with times varying by location.
District 1: Ziegler Park, 4-7pm - Hamilton Township Police Department will host a National Night Out event, August 5, 6-9pm at Oeder’s Lake (1368 St. Rt. 22 in Lebanon).
- Join the Colerain Police Department for fun, games, and community on Aug. 5 from 6-8 p.m. at 4200 Springdale Rd.
- The City of Milford will celebrate National Night Out from 6-9pm on August 5 at Home Depot – 1094 State Route 28, Milford
- Clermont County Sheriff invites you to the Batavia Township Community Center on August 5 for a National Night Out celebration starting at 6pm.
- The City of Reading will hold a National Night Out event at Koenig Park on August 5, 6-9pm. Enjoy free food and refreshments as well as games and activities for the kids, police and emergency vehicle displays, and more.
August 6: Pierce Township hosts a community celebration for National Night Out and it includes food, live music, games, and fun. Their event starts at 6pm and is held at Locust Corner Park (961 Locust Corner Rd.).
August 7: Smale Family Fun Days are happening at Smale Riverfront Park, 10am-1pm.
August 7: There’s a Touch a Truck happening at Weller Park (8832 Weller Rd., Montgomery), 9am – noon. Honk, touch, and explore the trucks! They will have Public Works, Police, and Fire vehicles for everyone to climb aboard.
August 9: The O.F.F. Market will be at Summit Park, 10am-4pm. The O.F.F. Market is a monthly marketplace that brings together small businesses, artisans, brewers, bakers, farmers and the like to provide a unique shopping experience that supports strong community connections and strives to grow a hearty local economy.
August 9: The Hamilton Flea, Hamilton’s first curated, urban artisan market, will be at Marcum Park from 10am to 4pm.
August 15-17: Charm at the Farm Vintage Market will be in Lebanon. Tickets required.
August 16: The City Flea (plus a Kids Market) will be at Washington Park, 10am-4pm.
August 17: The Burlington Antique Show is at the Boone County (KY) Fairgrounds, 6am-2pm. Admission charged, parking is free. Rain or shine.
August 18-24: It’s Cincinnati Wing Week!
August 21: Great Parks will be celebrating National Night Out at Winton Woods Harbor, 5-8pm. Meet local heroes from the FBI, SWAT teams, Bomb Squad, K-9 units and more while exploring emergency vehicles and learning about their roles in public safety. Enjoy games, music and free burgers and fries from Fifty West while connecting with those who protect community neighborhoods and public lands!
August 21: It’s time for the Ault Park Summer Music Festival, 6-10pm. Join in for fantastic live music from Floyd and the Walkmen. Admission is FREE. Local favorite food, craft beer/margaritas/wine/hard seltzer and water will be available for purchase. We will be providing inflatables & games, and volunteer organizations will have kids’ crafts and activities from 6-8pm.
August 22-24: Germania kicks off Oktoberfest season with their 54th Oktoberfest. Hours are Friday: 6-11pm, Sat.: 2-11pm, Sunday: 12-7pm. Admission charged.

August 23: Get a Taste of Reading at Koenig Park, noon – 11pm. Enjoy food and drink booths, crafters and vendors, music from Soul Pocket (6:30-10:30) & American Rebels (12:30 – 4:30), raffles, kid games, and more.
August 29: Art After Dark will be at The Cincinnati Art Museum.
August 23: It’s a Kids Fun Day at Green Township Veterans Park, 11am-2pm.
