Experience the Magic of the Season at Cincinnati Christkindlmarkt

Fun for all ages, Cincinnati Christkindlmarkt is a seasonal German-American holiday festival that takes place on the lawn next to the Moerlein Lager House.

This holiday-themed Christmas festival features delicious food and beverages, unique merchandise, festive holiday lights, live choral and musical performances, fire pits, a huge Christmas tree… all while pairing a European flair with a Cincinnati holiday theme.

Walk the grounds and enjoy your choice of food and beverages available from more than 15 vendors including sausages from the Avril Bleh Wursthaus, gourmet chocolates from Aglamesis Chocolatier, studel and pastries from Servatii’s Konditerei, funnel cakes at Der Funnel Kuchen Stand, Raclette Cheese over fresh bread and ham, and more.

Bring your shopping list and do some shopping from the chalets and tents. Items include German glass and gifts, goat’s milk soaps, German nutcrackers, cuckoo clocks, and more.

They have loads of special events planned too! Be sure to check out the schedule here (too many to list!). In addition to the special events, Saturdays include Dickens-style carolers, Golden Christkindl and other characters wandering the grounds. Sundays include Santa and character visits (see link above for specifics).

Enjoy a cozy igloo rental on the Igloo Boardwalk! Elevate your evening with one of their eight igloos, exclusively available for private gatherings this year. Special rental fee details include a $300 fee that transforms into $300 in gift cards that can be redeemed at the Moerlein Lager House at any time of the year, and/or at most food and beverage stalls within the market. Igloos come with a dedicated beverage host. Each igloo will hold up to 14 people and your reservation lasts 90 minutes.

Glide into a winter wonderland at the Christkindlmarkt Holiday Ice Rink (tickets required). Your reservation locks in your skating time for 75 minutes, starting when you check in. You can bring your own skates or rent them at the rink (additional fee for rentals). The ice rink is open during Christkindlmarkt hours (see below) and also on November 25/26, December 1/2, 9/10, and 16/17. Reservations suggested but you can purchase tickets on-site as well.

Cincinnati Christkindlmarkt is open from November 22, 2024 through January 5, 2025.

Hours* are:
🌲Wednesday and Thursday: 5-9pm (closed Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day)
🌲Friday: 5-10pm (open 12-10pm on Black Friday)
🌲Saturday: 12-10pm
🌲Sunday: 12-7pm
*Christmas week: open Monday 12-9pm, Tuesday 12-7pm, closed Christmas Day, Thursday 12-9pm and back to normal hours for the weekend

Admission is free; tickets are required for ice skating; food and drink available for purchase
