Watch the World Cup at Fountain Square

Do you have World Cup Fever? If you’re a soccer fan… or a fan of the good ole’ USA, join your fellow Cincinnatians on Fountain Square to watch the United States play on the big screen. We went to Fountain Square to watch the United States play Ghana last week.  The game was awesome and the crowd was AMAZING.   Fountain Square was full of USA fans. We saw lots of flags and red, white, and blue. world cup game on fountain square in cincinnati   If you want to be part of this fun crowd for the remaining World Cup games (USA games only), you can head downtown for the following:
    • June 22, 2014: USA vs. Portugal; game starts at 6pm (festivities start at noon)
    • June 26, 2014: USA vs. Germany; game starts at noon
    • July 1, 2014: USA vs. Belgium; game starts at 4pm (festivities start at 3pm)
Tips: The name of the game is ARRIVE EARLY.  Lots of people sit on the steps (see above) but you can bring your own chairs (arrive early for placement). Fountain Square has some tables and chairs – again, arrive early for those.  A few of the restaurants around the square have some nice outdoor vantage points. Take some sunglasses and/or a hat for the evening game as the sun will shine down on the square for the first part of the game. Full details here: World Cup on the Square
