We stopped in to pay a visit to Vinoklet’s Annual Art and Wine Festival and were very pleasantly surprised by what we found…
Seriously! Who would have guessed you could find THIS in southern Ohio?! We were taken aback by the beauty of the vineyards and the beautiful scenery and rolling hills.
Vinoklet is Hamilton County’s only working winery with a vineyard. Located on 30 acres of rolling Ohio hills, this place will make you feel as though you’ve been magicly transported to the west coast.
Once a year, they host The Vinoklet Art and Wine Festival. On this weekend, you can walk the vineyards and get “up close and personal” with the grapes. They have more than 60 exhibitors of art (everything from pottery to leather to photography) and it’s a juried show. For this weekend, they offer “festival style” food including dogs, brats, etc. We thought the food was very reasonably priced (I had a pot roast sandwich which was awesome). You can, of course, buy their wines (samples, glasses, bottles) and they also offer soft drinks, water, and beer.
The festival featured live music on the huge stage (see above), the size of which really surprised us. Be sure to take chairs or a blanket so you can sit and enjoy the music or simply gaze at the scenery.
Saturday festivities included a Wine Stomping Competition. The overall winner is pictured at work on the left. 🙂
If you do nothing else, be sure to stick around for the sunset. It was beautiful!
Vinoklet Winery is open all year (see this page for details) so if you missed the Art and Wine Festival this year, know that you can still go and enjoy this amazing spot all year long.
Vinoklet Winery is located at 11069 Colerain Avenue
I took my entire Plumbing team to Vinoklet Winery a month ago. They have an amazing selection of food and wine to choose from. Great food and great experience!
Thanks for the write-up and photos on Vinoklet. I love wine and somehow I’ve never been there. Great reminder to check it out!
That was our first visit, Andrea. It’s an amazing little spot.
