Friday, July 27:

Creative Mornings/Cincinnati Intention hosted by People’s Liberty and Creative Mornings Cincinnati 8:30am-10:00am. This month’s speaker, Joi M. Sears, will share how she’s made her life one of intention, a passion which has spanned five continents working with social enterprises, NGOs, and eco-conscious brands and combined her unique knack for creativity, sustainability, and social innovation. Today, she is the founder and creative director of Free People International (specializing in sustainable products, platforms and innovative experiences). Details 

Art After Dark hosted by the Cincinnati Art Museum 5:00pm-9:00pm. Enjoy beer tastings from local breweries, live music from The Hot Magnolias, food for purchase from Dewey’s Pizza and Graeter’s Ice Cream, and access to the museum after hours including *free admission to Terracotta Army: Legacy of the First Emperor of China. 20th Annual Greater Anderson Days hosted by the Anderson Parks District 5:00pm-11:00pm Greater Anderson Days features live music, games, rides, delicious food, “Anderson’s Got Talent” competition, and an amazing fireworks display by Rozzi Famous Fireworks. Details 

Final Friday in OTR 5:00pm-12:00am Every month, artists and art galleries in the historic Over-the-Rhine district of Cincinnati open their doors for a special showing on the last Friday, known to most simply as “Final Friday”. Artwork is included from established artists as well as younger artists from both Cincinnati and out-of-town. This creates a walkable, relaxed, urban environment where one can connect with the arts community. Details 

Art After Hours: Art Exhibition, Music & Food – Fort Thomas hosted by the Campbell County Library 7:00pm-9:00pm Enjoy the eleventh annual Art After Hours! The Carrico/Fort Thomas Branch will remain open until 9 p.m. to showcase the work of sixteen artists from Northern Kentucky and the greater Cincinnati region. The event is free and open to the public and will feature a variety of media. Each artist will be available to discuss their work. Details

Marsapalooza: Return of the Red Planet hosted by the Cincinnati Observatory 9:00pm-11:00pm. After 26 months, the Red Planet is back. Mars, always a crowd favorite, will be the featured planet for a two-night viewing extravaganza at the Cincinnati Observatory called Marsapalooza. The Cincinnati Observatory will open its doors and telescopes to the public while Mars is closer than it has been to Earth since 2003. Details 

Rare Beer/Infusion hosted by Higher Gravity 5:00pm-10:00pm Each Friday Higher Gravity will either be tapping a rare keg (i.e. only 1 or 2 kegs available in the City) OR infusing a beer. Details 

 

Saturday, July 28:

Busken Bakery is turning 90 years old this summer and will host an out of this world, Funtastic Sugarlicious Celebration called Sprinklefest at their Hyde Park headquarters on July 28. The Busken parking lot will be transformed into a whimsical scene of sweetness. Guests will enjoy Festival ‘funtivities’ including Donut Plinko, Sprinkle Sandboxes, Smile Face Tongue Tattoos, D.I.Y. Donut Dipping, and sprinkles in every color, shape and size imaginable! Rumors of a Donut Launcher and the city’s largest Birthday Cake are already swirling through the community. 5-9pm. Details  

End of Summer Harry Potter Party hosted by The Campbell Co. Public Library, Newport branch 2:00pm-6:00pm You are formally invited to celebrate the birthday of “the boy who lived”, Harry Potter! They will be celebrating his birthday three days early on July 28th. Enjoy a wizarding-block-party at Diagon Alley (enter by the port key at the Newport Branch). Members Morning hosted by the Cincinnati Zoo 8:00am-10:00am Wake up with the Zoo and experience special animal encounters throughout the Zoo. Guests of members are welcome to attend. FC Cincinnati Day at the Cincinnati Zoo 11:00am-12:00pm  The Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Garden and Cincinnati’s professional soccer team, FC Cincinnati, are partnered up to host a fun-filled FC Cincinnati Day at the Zoo on Sunday, July 29. Visitors are encouraged to sport their best blue & orange FC Cincinnati gear as they spend the day on wild adventures around the Zoo with familiar faces from the field. Details
