Make Way for Memories hosted by The Cincinnati Art Museum and Playhouse in the Park: 5:15pm, 6:15pm and 7:15pm. Free admission. RSVP not required. Bring the whole family and join Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park’s artists to create your own visual poem about your summer adventures as a family inspired by Time of Wonder by Robert McCloskey. New Lines Mural Dedication hosted by ArtWorks Cincinnati 6:00pm-7:00pm The team of Youth Apprentices and Teaching Artists have been hard at work all summer to complete the New Lines: Bolivar Alley murals! Now it’s time to celebrate the incredible transformation, work, and creativity that took place. Details

August Final Friday hosted by Pendleton Art Center Cincinnati 6:00pm-10:00pm  Visit and purchase art from over 250 aritsts in 4 buildings. Free admission and $5 valet available. Casey Redmond will be performing on the dock and Fire on High will be the food truck on site. Details

Saturday, Sept. 1:

Weekend Walkabout hosted by Spring Grove Cemetery and Arboretum 10:00am-11:30am This months’ topic is Civil War Connections. Spring Grove was founded nearly twenty years before the Civil War. The reason that there are so many soldiers buried in SG is because of the many Civil War hospitals that were in the area. Spring Grove is the final resting place for 40 Union Civil War generals and 1 Confederate General. Details

Harry Potter Family Scavenger Hunt hosted by Joseph-Beth Cincinnati 11:00am-12:00pm Enjoy this Harry Potter-themed scavenger hunt in the bookstore! The rumor on Potterwatch is that He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named has hidden at least one Horcrux at Joseph-Beth, and they need some intrepid witches and wizards to help them find and destroy the Horcrux. But it won’t be easy—there are puzzles and challenges to be completed on the way, so bring a team to help take down You-Know-Who! Details

25th Cincinnati Hispanic Fest hosted by Cincinnati Hispanic Heritage Month 11:00am-11:00pm The Hispanic Cultural Society of Cincinnati and community organize this important event, in partnership with local businesses and volunteers committed to the mission of providing support to the local Hispanic community through educational programs, scholarships and resources to the less fortunate. Raptors hosted by Farbach-Werner Nature Preserve/Ellenwood Nature Barn 12:00pm-4:00pm A variety of local native raptors will be on exhibit during this holiday weekend. Cameras and sketch pads are welcome. Details

North College Hill “Headin’ for the Hill” Car Show hosted by the North College Hill Police Department 9:00am-5:00pm Registration is from 9:00 AM until 12:00 PM fee is $15. Awards at 4:00PM. An appearance by Elvis! Details

Dogfest and K-9 Kerplunk hosted by Montgomery Community Pool 5:00pm-8:00pm On stage contests, prizes and vendor booths. Families and their canine companions can finish the summer with a dip in the pool. All breeds and sizes of dogs are invited. Dogs must be people friendly, non-aggressive towards other dogs and under control. Bring nonperishable dog food and treats to donate. Details
