Friday, June 15:

Friday Night Grillout: 5:00pm-8:00pm Start the weekend off on a good note. Enjoy live music and grilled favorites with your family all at beautiful Lake Isabella. The park boathouse and playground will also be open for after-dinner fishing & fun. Details

Gorman Heritage Farms, 2:30 pm- 4:30 pm. Free wagon rides with Ringo and Joel. Come take a stroll around the Farm in Ringo’s wagon! Gorman Heritage Farm’s fabulous farmyard volunteer, Joel, will be giving free rides with Ringo.  Details

Goettafest in Covington: 5:00 pm-11:30 pm. Braxton Brewing Company, in association with the MainStrasse Village Association, presents the 18th Annual MainStrasse Village “Original” Goettafest. Besides innovative Goetta food offerings, the festival will include arts, crafts, music, entertainment and children’s activities, filling two blocks of the tree-lined Sixth Street Promenade. Details

Signs and Songs: 6:00 pm.- 9:00 pm. Hailing from Cold Spring, Ky, singer- songwriter Daniel Martin Moore will be performing at the American Sign Museum. Moore’s powerful and moving lyrics bring attention to mountaintop removal coal mining. Details 

Findlay Folk: 5:00 pm- 7:00 pm. Every Friday, pull up a red chair at the Findlay Market Biergarten and listen to some sweet sweet folk music. Come before 6pm to take advantage of happy hour specials ($1 off all draft beers + food specials from Market merchants). Details

Fifth & Vine Live: 7:00 pm- 11:00 pm. Fifth & Vine Live features an eclectic lineup of national, regional, and local acts performing at Fountain Square. This week enjoy music from Portland Oregon’s Typhoon! Details

Saturday, June 16:

City Flea: 10am – 4pm. Cincinnati’s original curated, urban flea market takes place once a month at Washington Park. Vendors range from vintage dealers to artisan pizza makers to plant studios.  Details. 

Ohio Riversweep 2018: Fernbank Park: 9:00 am-12:00 pm. Grab your crew or come solo to help keep the Ohio River clean! Great Parks is partnering once again with the Ohio River Valley Water Sanitation Commission (ORSANCO) to take part in one of the biggest multi-state litter pickups in the country. All ages welcome. Volunteers under the age of 14 must be accompanied by an adult. Details

Civil War Days at Heritage Village Museum: 10:00 am-5:00 pm. Civil War Weekend at Heritage Village Museum brings re-enactor soldiers, citizens, and cavalry to the Village.  Each year’s event includes a daily battle. Cavalry, artillery, infantry, and civilians from both sides of the conflict will be on hand to tell the story.  Meet Abraham Lincoln and Jefferson Davis, see living history scenarios in our 19th-century buildings, and participate in hands-on activities. Makerspace, Build it and They Will Come. Contemporary Arts Center 1:00 pm- 3:00 pm. Create a crazy city using simple machines, cardboard engineering techniques and paper circuits. Inspired by the cardboard circus of Alison Crocetta and the architecture-inspired art of Mark deJong and Chris Larson. Free admission. Details

Bird Spotting and Nest Building in the Schott Nature Playscape, Cincinnati Nature Center. 1:00 pm- 2:30 pm Stop by for a drop in program in the Schott Nature PlayScape. Perfect for ages 3 and up. No registration required. However, tickets can be purchased online for non members. Participants will use materials in the Nature PlayScape to build pretend nests for eggs. Details
