Friday, October 9:

October 8-10: Operation Pumpkin in Hamilton; Things will be different for the festival this year; the boundary will be expanded to include businesses on Main and High Street and Operation Pumpkin 2020 will take place Thursday to Saturday, October 8th-10th. Due the unpredictability of the virus, Operation Pumpkin will not host the weigh-off or seek vendors, or host the Pet Parade or Lil Miss Pumpkin competitions. 

Rhinegeist is hosting a Cider Social (Friday – Sunday, 3-10pm). The taproom is gussied up in seasonal style and we’re slinging a bushel of ciders featuring a variety of carefully crafted flavor combinations. Cider flights, cider cocktails, fall-themed games and prizes for the whole gang.

Newport Nights at Bridgeview Box Park – bringing live music to Newport on the Levee, 6-9pm. Enjoy music from talented local performers while relishing the delicious food and beverage of Bridgeview Box Park.

A Halloween favorite is coming to Big Bone Lick this season! Haunted Mini Golf will be offered every weekend in October starting on October 2nd. Bring your young witches and warlocks for daytime putting or join us after dark for a spooky good time! Lights, sounds, music, and more will bring the mini golf to life…or death! Appropriate for all ages. $5 per player. Open to the public.


Saturday, October 10:

Sharonville Parks and Rec has partnered with Stem Lab for Fossil Explorer Day at Trammel Fossil Park, 11am-1pm. This is a free event and open to everyone. All ages are welcome. They will be doing fossil findings, fossil rubbings, feel & brush fossils and fossil identification. Rain out date is Saturday October 17th at 11am. All COVID-19 safety precautions will be enforced.

It’s The Great Pumpkin Fest in West Chester. A mini version of The Great Pumpkin Fest is temporarily moving to the West Chester Market this fall for a one-day pop-up celebration. Stop by the West Chester Market and pick up a Pumpkin Fest swag bag, while supplies last, the morning of Saturday, Oct. 10, on The Square @ Union Centre, 9285 Centre Pointe Drive. 

Fall Bird Walks at Cincinnati Nature Center, 8 – 9:30am. Preregistration is required. No experience necessary, so beginners welcome! This program is designed for adults.

Lebanon Oktoberfest: Happening Saturday, 11am-9pm. Enjoy food, craft beers, bands, and more! All funds raised this year will go towards building restroom facilities at the Miller Ecological Park.

Get your costume and pup ready for Howl-O-Ween Pooch Pageant in Lebanon. Dogs will be judged in multiple categories. Registration is required if you want to participate with your four legged friend.

Sunflowers at Gorman Farm; explore the farm, cut sunflowers, buy pumpkins, enjoy corn and sunflower mazes, see the farm animals. Online ticket purchase required (tickets are NOT sold at the gate).

Head to OTR for Second Sunday OTR, 12-5pm. This OTR-wide walkable market will feature your favorite brick and mortars, a diverse array of pop-up shops, and local musicians brought to you by Cincinnati Music Accelerator. Merchants and vendors will set-up on the sidewalk outside their storefronts to transform the whole neighborhood into a socially-distant sidewalk fair every second Sunday, August through October.
