25+ Ways to Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day in Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky

As the saying goes – on St. Patrick’s Day, everyone is Irish!

Whether you prefer to celebrate with a 5k, parade, or pub crawl – there’s something for everyone (and all ages) during St. Patrick’s Day week in Cincinnati. But who says you have to pick just one?

This year’s list of St. Patrick’s Day events in Cincinnati includes a parade, block party, races, pub crawls, kegs and eggs, brewery specials, brunches, live music, Irish dancing – even a train ride and dinner cruise! We’ve even put together a list of the area’s favorite Irish pubs, who might not be having events but are a great place to celebrate the luck of the Irish all year round.

Check out the list below for 25+ St. Patrick’s Day celebrations in Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky!

As always, you must be 21 years or older to drink. Some events/venues are 21+ only, so be sure to check with the venue before taking the whole family.

Please note: Events may be canceled even though we have them listed here. Be sure to check with the event before you make your plans and head out the door.

Saturday, March 14

If you’re heading downtown on the 14th, be sure to check the road closures for the St. Patrick’s Day Parade. Part of Mehring Way, John Nuxhall Way, and Freedom Way will be closed down for the parade route (in the past this has also limited access to the parking garages by the Banks).

Cincinnati St. Patrick’s Day Parade (canceled for 2020)
12pm
Parade begins at Mehring Way & Central Avenue

The Cincinnati St. Patrick’s Day Parade first began in 1967 as a religious procession, and ended up drawing such a crowd that traffic was stopped for over 2 hours! 2020 marks the parade’s 54th year, and it has grown to include street closings, step dancers, marching bands, family floats, and more. This year’s parade route begins Mehring Way & Central Avenue (the corner of Paul Brown Stadium), travels down Mehring Way and John Nuxhall Way, and ends at Freedom Way & Rosa Parks Street. Show up rain or shine (and dress for the weather!) – in 50+ years of parades, it has never been canceled!
