This week’s entertainment is: Anthem Band.   June 2: Carol Ann’s Carousel Family Fun Night features a family discount on the ride package for every one ‘13 tokens package’ bought, receive 3 free tokens. Bring your own seating to enjoy free movies on the grounds. Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult. Starts at dusk. It’s time for “Free Friday” at the Cincinnati Museum Center. Enjoy free admission to all three of the museums plus special events from 4-8pm. Parking is $4 after 4:30 p.m. and $6 before 4:30 p.m. The City of Blue Ash has free concerts on Tuesday nights at 7pm and Friday nights at 8pm Head to Washington Park for Friday Flow, a free R&B series , 7-10pm   June 4: Cincinnati Museum Center hosts the 13th annual BugFest. Immerse yourself in the world of arthropods with special guests, live insects, hands-on activities and much more. Outside events and Rotunda events are free; additional activities are included with your admission to the Museum of Natural History & Science. Pay to park. Celebrate all things German with Findlay Market’s German Day – wiggle into some lederhosen, grab your favorite beer stein and a brat! 10am – 4pm Great Parks of Hamilton County is offering Great Parks Days. Experience all your parks have to offer with free activities, special events and park admission on Great Parks Days at Woodland Mound. Enjoy the sounds of the Ronnie Vaugn Band at Woodland Mound Park as part of the Great Parks of Hamilton County Summer Concert Series (4:30-6 pm) followed by 4th Day Echo (8-10 pm); park sticker required*   June 5: Art on Vine returns to Fountain Square for the summer; enjoy 60+ local artists; noon-6pm Enjoy 30 in 30: Sketching Sunday Special at the Cincinnati Art Museum, 2-4pm; this week drop in to the 30 Americans Forum between 2:00 and 4:00 pm to draw with artist Cedric Cox during this special Sketching Sunday session. Spring Grove Cemetery and Arboretum hoses a National Fire Heritage Muster, 10am – 3pm. For more than 150 years, firefighters across the United States have “mustered”, or gathered to show off their firefighting equipment, preserve fire service history, and promote fire safety.  In celebration of this grand American tradition, antique fire truck collectors and active fire departments from the tri-state and across the nation are gearing up for this event.

From domesticated cats to mythic symbols of divinity, felines played an important role in ancient Egyptian imagery for thousands of years. We will have a variety of special cat-themed cocktails available for purchase (for guests 21+). Wear attire inspired by cats such as leopard print, cat t-shirts or cat ears. Get creative and have fun! (No masks please). Entertainment will take place in the Great Hall 6-8pm and Guided Tours of Divine Felines will be offered throughout the evening (times and locations TBA). Teens may bring their own projects, use the common available materials (drawing materials, paint, clay), or work with the prepared “art-prompt” of the day. Ages 13-19.2-4pm. Leash up your four legged friends for the 9th Annual Dog Day of Summer at Spring Grove Cemetery and Arboretum (9am – noon). For 364 days of the year the cemetery does not permit dog owners to share the beauty of Spring Grove with their pets.  However, on this ONE day only, responsible pet owners are invited to come and spend the entire day at the cemetery with their four legged buddies.  Explore over 45 miles of paved roads throughout the 400+ developed acres of the park.   June 27:   June 28: The City of Blue Ash has free concerts on Tuesday nights at 7pm and Friday nights at 8pm Move it on Tuesdays with Pilates (6pm) and Total Body Workout (7:15pm) at Washington Park Grab your friends and head to Fountain Square on Tuesdays from 7PM to 9PM “Fountain Feud”, Fountain Square’s version of the classic TV Gameshow.   June 29: Enjoy Silly Safaris “Live Animal Show” at noon as part of the Evendale Summer Pavilion Series. Head to Miami Whitewater Forest* for The Cincinnati Pops Orchestra Community Concert, 8:15pm. Bring a blanket and the whole family to hear hits from Broadway and the big screen, American anthems and more! The harbor snack bar will be open for grilled sandwiches, ice cream, cold beer and drinks. * Great Parks of Hamilton County requires a park sticker to enter the park. You can buy a 2016 yearly car pass for just $10. You can also pay for just one day and that rate is $3 per car.  Park stickers are available at a manned station as you pull into each park.   All events were accurate at the time of this posting but things do happen and events do occasionally get canceled or postponed.
