It’s Day 277 of “365 Things to do in Cincinnati” and today (Tuesday) was a very appropriate day to take a trip down south to pay a visit to the Reality Tuesday Cafe.
Located just a hop, skip and a jump across the river, Reality Tuesday is a cafe and a coffee shop rolled into one. This little spot is one I could easily call home. It’s not the least bit pretentious or stuffy. It’s a great place to go if you’re meeting up with friends, want to enjoy a hot beverage, or need to get out of the office for a bit.
Owners Traci and Bill Gregg started the cafe ten years ago. Bill does all of the baking (from scratch) on site. They have a variety of baked goods – everything from carrot cake to pastries to cookies. It about killed me not to sample something but since I had just left Weight Watchers I was strong and resisted! You’ll just have to listen up on these awards: Bill’s cheesecake won “Best Cheesecake” in the 2009 “Best of the City” edition of Cincinnati Magazine. They also won “Best Under the Radar Coffee Shop” (Best of Cincinnati) and “Best Pastries” (Kentucky Monthly).
The cafe offers wi-fi and they have lots of space available and ready for you and your laptop. There’s a long counter with stools along the back wall, perfect for an extended work session. They also have a huge square table towards the back that would be perfect for a meeting (book group, mastermind, etc.).
I sure do wish I lived closer. This would definitely be my “go to” place when I need to get out of my office!
Reality Tuesday Cafe is located at 1518 Dixie Highway in Park Hills, Ky
