Here we are with another installment of “365 Things to do in Cincinnati” and today we are featuring a brand new look for a hometown favorite – Dave and Buster’s.
You may be familiar with the old Dave and Buster’s. It’s an entertainment spot in Springdale, full of fun games and attractions. What you may NOT know is that our Dave and Buster’s has recently been revamped and has taken on quite a new outlook.
Walking in, you’ll notice the changes right away. Gone is the old Dave and Buster’s masculine “Cheers”-like feel. Replacing it is a sleek yet sporty new look and feel.
The first thing you’re sure to notice will be the HUGE new upscale sports bar with 65″ plasma TV’s and 80″ LCD’s. The sports bar area has great decor with larger than life LOCAL murals, a “wheel of fortune” type game for the entire bar (activates with scores during select games), and plenty of comfortable seating. This would be a fun spot to watch any game.
Right above the sports bar seating you’ll find a new bar with sleek lines, steel and lots of white lights. The bar gives the place a very “Vegas” feel. I don’t know how they managed to make this fit into a sports bar atmosphere but it’s a perfect addition.
Venture farther into the building and you’ll find a dramatic new restaurant. The lighting and booth seating really make this place unique and special.
They have private group booths with red leather high-walled seating. They also have smaller booths and lots of dining tables – all new and incredibly chic. We were all very surprised by the look and feel of the dining area. And it’s not just the decor that’s new – their menu has been expanded and includes lots of new choices.
Head on back to the games area and you’ll find a new Gamebar and more plasma TV’s.
They’ve added ten new interactive games to their already impressive lineup of arcade-style offerings. We got to play on their new “Speed of Light” game and previewed lots of the new games including a life-sized “Connect 4″ and a four person air hockey game.
Dave and Buster’s hosts Trivia Night on Mondays, Karaoke on Tuesdays, Half Price games on Wednesdays, and “Epic Thursday” with Spin and Win games and a live DJ. Happy Hour is 4:40-7:00pm Monday through Friday.
Dave and Buster’s is located at 11775 Commons Drive in Springdale
