It’s Day 363 of “365 Things to do in Cincinnati” and today I ventured downtown to the City Flea.
What is the City Flea? It’s basically an outdoor flea market with an Indie twist. You won’t find out bureaus or old tools here but you will find all kinds of awesome crafts, vintage finds, and great food.
The founders of City Flea moved to Cincinnati after living in numerous other larger cities – most notably New York. After moving to Cincinnati they found themselves missing the Brooklyn Flea that they attended in NYC each week. So they decided to bring some of that flea market goodness to Cincinnati. And the City Flea was born.
This is the first year for the City Flea and today was just the second date. You’d never know it though – the place was teeming with activity. The lot was completely full of vendors and shoppers. It was great to see so much activity for the opening of just their second date!
The City Flea will happen again on Saturday, August 6 and September 3, 2011. The Flea runs from 11am to 5pm. Cash only at most booths.
The City Flea is located at the corner of Central Parkway and Vine, in the lot with the large Cincinnatus mural.
